Huh???? Did you forget about the "Cup O'Dirt" and how a good portion of the participants are from the Des Moines area? We've found the joy of gravel since January.

I think that it's something that most of the road racers don't want to try until it gets closer to cross season. I've been digging the gravel all year, albeit on a mountain bike. The few cars that you do see slow down, give you plenty of room, along with a friendly wave.
griz--i'm simply addressing the anal nature of tuesday nights. pay attention.

Missed the Tuesday night intent, although the anal part is what has kept me away (lack of legs also contributes).
Is it true that one of the sprints is a stop sign? If so, how do you sprint for it and yet stop as required?

"stop ahead" sign, Griz. Some people ride simply for "the ride" and some people ride for "the cup o'dirt." Therein lies the difference. Thanks for sharing Rev. G-pickle could provide commentary similar to that for most Tuesday and Thursday group rides. Good stuff.
