Was that Geoff? Days in the cold mud are always good for the big and the slow! I'm sorry I missed another hard slog in the mud, but it was worth it! Greta Hope, my new goddaughter, was welcomed to "the Family" at a healthy 9 lbs. 2oz. Now if I can find some Sicilians, play a little matchmaker, and start making offers to fairy godmothers they can't refuse!

Finally!!! After many many years. Iowa gets a REAL cross race. Now that, my friends, is what a real cross race is! Mud, snow, slop, cold, beer, music, more mud, rowdy fans, and.....well you get the picture.

Hopefully Mother Nature will order up the same forecast for 2009!

the jingle cross brass was an outstanding addition. i'm editing a lengthy audio piece that hopefully will capture what it was like on the hill, and at the race.

plan NOW for next year's NIGHT cross.
