Kim, I prefer not to be called a READER of your blog. Reading is viewed as something pleasurable. Reading your blog instills much pain and sorrow therefore I would called a "monitor" of your site. This better fits the description of why I view the site.
BTW, I ran across a Biblical verse today that reminded me of you, Romans 1:22 "Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools"

it might interest you to learn that paul, as a jew living in corinth, was referring to the actions and beliefs of greek-speaking business people living in rome who believed in false gods.
paul also claimed to be upset with men who wanted to have sex with other men.
if you study closely, you'll also note that god was unhappy with the future new england patriots for their future use of sideline films as wrongful acts involving other men. seems pretty clear to me what god/paul means.
but, as an agnostic, i have NO gods, false or otherwise, so you really must admit that romans 1:22 doesn't apply to me.

Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse. What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they didn't treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion so that there was neither sense nor direction left in their lives. They pretended to know it all, but were illiterate regarding life. They traded the glory of God who holds the whole world in his hands for cheap figurines you can buy at any roadside stand.
