A 24-year-old Chicago bicyclist was killed Saturday near Brimfield
A 24-year-old Chicago bicyclist was killed Saturday near Brimfield
while riding in the Proctor Cycling Classic.
Elizabeth Kobeszka was pronounced dead about 1:20 p.m.
at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center,
where she was taken after the 9:30 a.m. accident,
Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll said today.
Kobeszka was riding on Brimfield-Jubilee Blacktop Road
Kobeszka was riding on Brimfield-Jubilee Blacktop Road
when she collided with another bicyclist,
then was struck by a pickup truck hauling a trailer.
She died of multiple injuries, Ingersoll said.
